Hey! Welcome to my blog and thank you for taking the time to stop by. My name is Nika Grizila, and I’m a writer of short stories, longer prose, articles and blog posts. This blog is mostly about books and occasionally about living in Spain and travelling. In the future, it will hopefully mostly be about my own short (and long) stories. beautiful world where are you

A little bit about me

  • I’m a freelance translator and journalist based in Valencia, Spain.
  • I’m from Slovenia (that tiny country squeezed between Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia).
  • My favourite activities are reading, writing and travelling (surprise lol).
  • I love languages: I have a master’s degree in Russian and English (my specialisation was translation). I’m more or less fluent in Italian, and I also kind of speak Spanish.
  • I love music and try to go to concerts as often as I can.
  • I’m in my late twenties (cries).
  • My current favourite authors are Emily Brontë, Elena Ferrante and Sally Rooney.

As already mentioned, I’d like to start posting my own fiction on this blog too, such as short stories and other stuff. I’m currently writing my second novel (I decided that I wouldn’t even try to publish my first because it’s too personal). Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy my posts or at least get something out of them. I hope you’ll find bits of yourself in bits of my writing and that I’ll manage to inspire you somehow. I’m inspired by other people’s content all the time. 🙂 If you have anything to say, ask or propose, feel free to contact me! Thanks for reading, Nika
