Hey! Welcome to my blog and thank you for taking the time to stop by. My name is Nika Grizila, and I’m a writer of short stories, longer prose, articles and blog posts. This blog is about books and reading. In the future, it will hopefully mostly be about my own short (and long) stories.
A little bit about me
- I’m a freelance translator, teacher and writer based in Valencia, Spain.
- I’m from Slovenia (that tiny country squeezed between Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia).
- My favourite activities are reading, writing and traveling (surprise lol).
- I love languages: I have a master’s degree in Russian and English (my specialisation was translation). I’m more or less fluent in Italian (or at least I was a few years ago, languages disappear fast), and I also speak Spanish.
- I love music and try to go to concerts as often as I can.
- I’m thirty and still shocked about it.
- My favorite authors are Emily Brontë, Elena Ferrante and Sally Rooney.
Fiction
As already mentioned, I’d like to start posting my own fiction on this blog too, such as short stories and other stuff. I’m currently writing my second novel (I decided to not even try to publish my first because it’s too personal). Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy my posts or at least get something out of them. I hope you’ll find bits of yourself in bits of my writing and that I’ll manage to inspire you somehow. I’m inspired by other people’s content all the time. 🙂
If you have anything to say, ask or propose, feel free to contact me!
Thanks for reading,
Nika
